Terms and Conditions
These terms are an agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("Reelle", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the Reelle app, the website at reelle.io and everything we provide through them. By creating an account you confirm that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, you cannot register an account.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You must not be barred from using the service under the laws of your country.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your credentials and for everything done through your account. Give accurate information and keep it current. Tell us promptly at support@reelle.io if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may browse Reelle as a guest without an account. Registering assets, messaging and other member features require one.
3. What Reelle is — and is not
Reelle is a registry and a social network. It records what members tell us about the things they own, and applies the verification checks described in section 4.
Reelle is not an appraiser, an authenticator of last resort, an escrow service, an insurer, a broker or a custodian. A verification badge records that we completed a specific check — it is not a guarantee of authenticity, legal title, condition or value, and it must not be relied on as one. Estimated values are supplied by members and are not valuations.
4. Verification levels
- Level 1 — we reviewed the documents supplied and checked the serial number against the registry for duplicates.
- Level 2 — in addition, a confirmation request was sent to the retailer identified as having sold the item, and that retailer confirmed it.
We may decline, downgrade or revoke a verification at any time, including where we later receive information that casts doubt on it. Verification does not transfer to a new owner automatically.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content so far as necessary to operate the service — including showing public assets to other members and, where an asset is minted, publishing the details described in section 7.
You confirm that you own or are entitled to upload what you post, that it is accurate, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- register an item you do not own, or misdescribe one;
- upload forged, altered or stolen documents;
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity or wealth;
- harass, threaten or abuse other members;
- use Reelle to launder money or to deal in stolen or illegal goods;
- scrape, crawl or bulk-extract data, or attempt to circumvent our security or access controls;
- upload malware, or interfere with the service.
7. Blockchain records
Verified assets may be minted as tokens on a public blockchain. The details written on-chain are set out in our Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that these records are permanent and world-readable, that neither you nor we can delete or amend them, and that deleting your account does not remove them. Minting is a consequence of registering an asset publicly and having it verified; if you do not want this, keep the asset private.
A token is a provenance record. It is not a security, and it does not by itself transfer legal ownership of the physical item.
8. Sales between members
Where members mark items for sale and negotiate through Reelle, any resulting contract is between those members. We are not a party to it, we do not hold funds, and we do not guarantee that any sale will complete or that any item is as described. Carry out your own due diligence.
9. Lost and stolen reports
You may flag an item as lost or stolen. Doing so publishes an alert visible to members who scan or search that serial number, together with any contact details you choose to provide. Only report an item you genuinely believe to be lost or stolen — a knowingly false report is a serious misuse of the service and may be unlawful.
10. Our intellectual property
The Reelle name, logo, software, design and database rights belong to us. You may use the service as intended; you may not copy, modify, decompile or create derivative works from it except to the extent the law permits.
11. Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, or where we are required to by law. Sections 5, 7, 10, 12 and 13 survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that map or location data will be accurate, or that information supplied by other members is true.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or loss arising from a transaction between members or from reliance on a verification badge; and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve months and [AMOUNT / CURRENCY].
If you are a consumer, you keep all rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country, and nothing here affects them.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will raise the version number and ask you to accept the new version in the app before you continue using it. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded against your account.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
